A Broads Holiday Diary

I'm not really sure why I'm jotting these notes down as they are not really intended for publication. Just a way for me to keep track of a few things. If it does happen to make it's way onto the web or a book - I apologize in advance.

This holiday was planned as a short trip for Bonnie and myself. I took her on the Broads about four years ago, but just for a few days. She picked up sailing and oathing, making her a natural Broads sailor very fast and was looking forward to going again.

My kids, Chris 14, and Lizzie 10 had never been on a Broads holiday before, so I was a little apprehensive about how they would handle the holiday, also Bonnie felt that they would be bored out of their skulls, but I figured that they would be fairly cheap labour for all of the chores, and wouldn’t take up much space.

Just about all of the events mentioned here are true. Some have been embellished a bit, and, in some cases, names have been changed to protect the guilty.

My dad (Richard T) is a really good chef even though he almost set fire to our kicthen when he was trying to mke yorkshore pudding.

hallo out there just a quick comment i moved to norfolk in 1969 just to be near the broads and my wife and i will be having our 52nd holiday on the broads this xmas our 4th xmas on a boat its just brill its just a shame to see so many boat yards closing many of them old friends over the years if you have took the time to read this thank you and keep on boating
